Diva Minerals Makeup
*Be Looked At,Not Looked Over!!*
Last Week I stumbled upon a (new to me) indie makeup company called Diva Minerals. Her colors seems so warm and inviting I decided I wanted to do a review on them. I contacted the owner (her name is Shannon French) to ask about purchasing samples to review. She was so kind as to just send me 6 samples for this review. As an owner of an indie makeup brand she is very sweet and seems like a joy to work with or order from =). These opinions made are my own and I was not paid in anyway to say or write this,I'd just like to make that clear,I love makeup and I'm quite the fanatic of new to me company's.
Shipping was extremely fast,which I was not expecting since I did not pay for these samples.But never the less,good customer service is good customer service either way!
This is what I was sent,upon receiving my samples was also an ingredient's card as well. I also was a little skeptical about how shimmery/sparkly the colors would be. For me I am mostly a matte's girl but I love shimmery and sparkles on my lid :) These seemed to be just the right amount of both for me.All swatches were over NYX white base and I took many pictures to capture the best picture to product color :)
Now on to the good stuff :)
"Sunswept"
This is a beautiful bronze/gold with almost a pink sheen,it reminds me of that color when the sun hits the water in just the right way.Its that color you cant quite explain,but would be great for a romantic night :)
"Drama Momma"
A very hard to explain color as well,in the bag this looked to be a red.Its more or a terra cotta,but also has a bronzed red hue to it.Its very metallic and I definitely see myself reaching for this color alot,as I am a big red liker.
"Envious"
An olive money mossy green with a gold shimmer.Its very pretty,for myself I'm not a huge greens girl,but for this color I'll make the exception :)
"Wink"
For this swatch I did over a white and black base to show you the color shift/sheen. This is a gorgeous shear golden kissed white,over black it gives the appearance of what burnt gold would look like. Over white its more subtle and gives a wonderful golden almost pink sheen. I can wait to pair this with Envious.
"Femme Fatale"
Looking at this in the bag it looked to be a pale lilac,but to my surprise it is not even close! This is like a champagne color with the finest silver sparkle. With my tanning and pink undertones its a very shimmery nude on my skin,very femme and gorgeous. Also a wonderful subtle color for a date night.
Last but certainly not least in the smallest way...
"Bronzed Baby"
This by far has to be the most amazing brown I have ever seen. Its a perfect bronzed color,but this "baby" has a secret (she sheen's silver!) Imagine taking 10k gold dust and adding a hint of .925 silver and you'd have "Bronzed Baby". So unbelievably excited about this color!
I never was a very neutral/earth toned girl (well not since I've learned what color was) but recently I've been adding more warm tones to my looks, As I love black so much it can be very cold and these colors will warm up anything they are paired with. If you love earth tones or just warm colors check out Diva Minerals, the owner is a big sweetheart and the colors are just as sweet to follow. They are very silky and cover so so well. Extremely pigmented and blend very well. Where has this company been hiding? I'm not sure but I am very glad to have come across,and can not wait to share my looks with these. I will definitely be placing an order very soon :)
